We have seen the hints. Cyberninja has rallied us to prepare by pre-emptive postapocalysm. The whispers grow louder. What we thought would take generations of post-apocalypse mutations is already happening now. Nature finds a way, and some grow stronger in preparation.
From the BBC news: Passers-by were too late to stop the attack by the black squirrels in a village in the far east. The attack reportedly lasted only about a minute which was enough time for them to fiercely eviscerate the dog.
They are said to have scampered off at the sight of humans, some carrying pieces of flesh. And this is not the only attack.
What could this mean? Genetic mutations occuring at a much higher rate than ever before, behaviors of some animals may continue to change dramatically. Their ultimate goal? Possibly to cleanse and purify the infestation known as humans.

Wow, that's a real link. I thought for sure it would lead to some strange Furry* sex website, based on my experiences with your previous links.
That said, so-called "black squirrels" are a much more aggressive species of squirrel than grey squirrels, and I'm not just being racist saying so. They completely took over the Davenport area back in the early 90s after some of them escaped from the zoo. Do you guys remember hearing about that? They killed all the grey squirrels and reproduced like mad.
This story shows us, however, that the squirrels are clearly more nefarious than we previously believed, and want to focus on taking out Man's protector first, the trusty hound dog, leaving us defenseless against their nut-biting incisors!
I think I've got just the thing for those dog-attacking bastards.

Just try to attack this dog, he thirsts for squirrel blood.
Damn the link didn't work. It would have been a lot funnier if it did.
I tried linking on it through my name, maybe that will work.
Black orcs are way tougher and meaner than the normal green orc. Maybe squirrels work the same way.
Maybe there is a squirrel revolution going on. Then again, maybe they're tired of stupid dogs giving them a hard time. In any case, the residents of Lazo seem like some funny little ruskies.
They literally gutted the dog
If it really happened, things must be pretty bad in our forests
The little beasts are agitated because they have nothing to eat
I think Brando is right, black squirrels are tougher than your everyday squirrel. However, eviscerating a dog is a bit over the top for even the most aggressive of squirrel gangs. This is something more. Something bigger than just squirrels. They are being trained, and ordered, perhaps.
